2022 Parker’s Heritage Collection #16 (15 & 13yr “Double Barreled Blend” | 132.2°)

Nose: Front spice that hits the nostril with a little bit of honeysuckle with a sense of denseness encapsulating the sweetness.  The spice lingers on in the back.

Palate: The front tart spice followed by a lot of sweetness.  Reminds me of being at sea where after a hit of the wave and the boat rocks, it follows by smoothness.  The flavor and intensity linger – with a long heat hug of the front to the back of the throat—lots of sweetness with lingering citrus elements to follow.  Multi-layered flavors with spice and sweetness intertwined infused with an ebullient feeling to follow.  The flavor seems almost to rise as your taste more.

Verdict:  When I look at the bottle, it is very dark – the flavor profile shows the complexity of that darkness.  A good pour for a cold day to warm you up – great for the holidays.
