2021 Russell’s Reserve 13yr Barrel Proof 114.8°

  Nose: Sweetness with a dusty backdrop that reminds me of one being thirsty and looks up at the desert’s sun and the sun’s dust seems to create a blur.   Amid that, there is a spiciness and oakiness intertwined with the sweetness that places me to a rick-house.   Palate:   A heated front that seems to create a layer of soft heat for the experience followed with sweet vanilla caramel that makes me reminisce on the enjoyment of salted vanilla caramel ice cream at Greater’s (may just need to go bring this to try that out together).   The tinge of grassiness followed by rich condensed honey with a slight medicinal feeling amid the oakiness that seems to signify something older in time.   The flavor lingers on well past the sip to make for an exceptionally long finish.   With a warming heat that seems to accompany you as if it were a good friend for the ride.   A little bit of heat manipulation with soft funneling allows the heat to build and cr...
